I need to get critical infrastructure protection training because of a project my company is doing. Please don’t post anything if it is classified. Has anyone here done it? What are the topics covered? Should I put it on my resume?
I work for a major Midwestern utility, and I’ve gotten CIP training. I’m sure it varies tremendously from sector to sector, so my experience probably doesn’t apply to anything except the electricity portion of the energy sector. For me, it was a fourish-hour online presentation detailing the physical and cybersecurity measures in place at critical points in the power grid, and, more importantly, the paperwork related to it.
It never occurred to me to put it on my resume, since it was just a part of the several days of computer-based training I got when I started the job. We get a refreshers course every year regardless. I’m sure everyone who joins my department gets the same thing when they start, even if they’ve taken it before, but I guess it couldn’t hurt to put it on the resume.
