Derek Trucks - Ya'll Kept the Best Part Secret

I started listening to twickster’s husband and his band based in recommendations for Already Free and Songline on this board. At first, I enjoyed but it did not just !WOW! me. But, over time, it has grown on me a bit.

More recently, I acquired the debut album. Ya’ll didn’t mention the jazzy stuff. “D Minor Blues” is a masterpiece. Shame on you all for keeping the best part a secret.

See him live.

You’ll never be quite the same.

Mrs. Derek Trucks

The apostrophe goes after the Y.

I haven’t listened to that first album in a long time. The band had developed so much by the time I first heard them that that album and the second one feel a little obsolete, but there’s good stuff on both. Their best jazz stuff was always live, though. Their last album has a great version of Afro Blue featuring a horn section, and they did a lot of great covers of My Favorite Things.

Well then who the hell is this hack?

Bonnie Raitte in disguise.

Poor delusional girl …

Hey! I saw him perform at the Palace of Auburn Hills with Santana! When he and Carlos played together at the end of the concert, it was incredible.

And that hair! Mmmmm. Lucky Twickster!
