A friend wants to buy an engagement gift for two of her friends. It’s an orange juicer. As soon as she mentioned it I knew what she meant. It is a one piece '50s kind of rocket shape - an elongated rather pointy egg supported by 3 spindly legs cast in stainless steel (?). It’s rather lovely in a pared down way and I know that I have only ever seen it with reference to it’s design significance. Who knows if it really works?
I can’t find out anything - who designed it, what it is called, were they ever made, do they work and can she buy one.
I told her I would send off her question to where unanswerable questions go to die.
