This is news? Sounds kinda “Dog bites man.”
Bottom line seems to be she should be free to screw for Phillie’s tickets if she wants. Laws against prostitution are dumb on pretty much every level.
Nevertheless it remains it is currently against the law to engage in prostitution and this seems to fit the definition therefore she rightfully got busted. Sucks for her (I suspect she will get a pretty light sentence on this one).
Could she have gotten any takers? World Series tickets are worth a lot of money and, looking at her…

I can imagine a scenario wherein if I were single and lonely, and had a pair of tickets, I would consider working something out to have her join me at the game(s). I’d draw the line at giving her both tickets, though!

As someone who recently got a ticket for running a red light (from an automated red-light camera, THANKS BIG BROTHER) I agree.
Busting prostitutes doesn’t generate revenue. Things like prostitution are only as strongly enforced, in my opinion, as the politics of the region are concerned.
Like a few other types of crime (marijuana, illegal aliens working for US companies) these things are more of a moral, and not an ethical issue. Had this person said, “I will kill your adulterous spouse for Phillies tickets” that would be one thing. But bartering them for some abstract amount of time? come on!
The woman (and her husband!?!) have been given two tickets by a local radio station.
She denies she made any explicit offers at all; she says she planned to show up, “bat her eyes” and get tickets.
