Despite his name, this teacher wasn't too bright.

Just saw a very funny new article today - this Bronx teacher by the name of Wayne Brightly had repeatly flunked the New York state teacher certification exam, so he paid a formerly homeless and developmently disabled man, Rubin Leitner, $2 to take the exam for him. Nobody noticed the Leitner was an overweight white man 20 years older than Brightly, a skinny black man, but the state did catch on when they saw the score - Leitner scored very well on the test.

That is pretty silly. But as far as the developmentally disabled thing, well, I see the man has Asperger’s Syndrome, so I’m not at all surprised that he scored well. People with Asperger’s Syndrome are often of normal or above-average intelligence. They often become obsessive about one particular subject and are a walking encyclopedia of information on that topic.

Not developmentally disabled - he has a “developmental disorder” - Asperger’s syndrome.
