Oh, I hated ** The Bonehoard **. In fact, I had a real problem with all the zombies missions(except for mission 2), just because I’d get so creeped out after about 10 minutes that I couldn’t continue.
One reason I liked Deus Ex better, just because I really hate Zombies.
Most people complained about the Zombies, which is why aside from the better graphics the big difference in Thief 2 is that there’s only 1 Zombie in the entire game.
Course, then people complained that part 2 wasn’t creepy enough. Should be interesting to see what kind of a mix they do of creatures and humans in the third game.
Wearia, this may be too late, but be careful with the Deus Ex they are selling at Future Shop. I’ve only seen the “Limited Edition” there which is only about 1/2 the game.
Good thing I got Thief then!
I’m heading for the Cathedral now… I’ve gotten used to the zombies, but what really freaked me out was down in a cellar there was this weird horned thing that sounded like a cricket. It turned around slowly, saw me, and then ran towards me. I screamed like a little girl. Thats the last I see of those things, right? Right?
{sneaks in behind robertliguori, and rifles World Eater’s pockets like a proper thief, then sneaks off and deposits him in the middle of Lord Bafford’s dining room table, atop a wooden crate balanced on top of a bottle}
{picks robertliguori’s pockets along the way, just for good measure}
You put a mine up in the rafters? Damn, man even I’m not that paranoid.
Actually, I had me a whole lotta fun dropping mines (explosive, flash and gas variety) from the rafters in that big meeting room in the bank, in Thief 2.
Love watchin’ the big honkin’ steam machine wandering all through the place, lobbing explosive shells around, and blowing up everything but me.
I tried to download a demo of Thief, as I’ve always wanted to try it, but I couldn’t find it for the longest time, and then when I did find a download link that worked it downloaded less than half and then said it was done, of course the install did not work.
I REALLY enjoyed Deus Ex. It starts off kind of slow, but as you get more skills and enhancements it gets really cinematic in a sci-fi action-movie kind of way. I really like how every time you get an enhancement you have to choose between two different kinds of enhancement, forever ruling out the one you did not pick, makes for great replayability. For instance, when you get to enhance your arms you can either increase your hand-to-hand damage or make it so you can lift heavy objects (like huge crates). Either one is good to have, and choosing one over the other won’t limit you in any way, but sometimes it can be really handy to haul around and stack up big crates and barrels, especially if you are the kind of player who likes to sneak in the back way and/or set up traps - on one level I moved every barrel full of toxic waste I could find into the enemies lair then blew them up with a chain-reaction of explosives, gassing out 90% of tehm. Another choice you can make is between being able to run without making a sound or being able to run very fast and jump very high. I chose the latter, I wasn’t as stealthy but it got easy to get away from the enemy when, later on, I could run 40 miles an hour and jump about 15 feet straight up.

BTW, you can get both Fallouts for 9.99 in one package at Wal-Mart. I am sure they have them at Future Shop as well.
