Devin Hester is overrated and other Bears gripes.

Griese has had some solid years in other franchises. I remember the year he threw 22 touchdowns and only 4 interceptions. Good fantasy year, there.

Griese was supposed to be the veteran presence they’d go to when/if Rex faltered. Res faltered, but he’d keep getting chance after chance after chance. There’s nothing wrong with Griese, but it’s been a while since I’ve seen him play because he’s been warming the bench in Chicago.

Griese is going to look like Peyton Manning this week against the Lions defense- it would have been interesting to see if Rex could have at least played decent against them, but not worth the risk.

Griese is a short term solution, but the Bears now have to wonder where there QB future is going to be.

Brian Brohm or Matt Ryan?

Dennis Dixon

I would love to see Dixon continue to do well, but it’s going to take more than four good games to sell me on the guy. He was not a great quarterback last year.

I have been saying for quite some time now that I wondered why they weren’t putting Griese in. The defense can’t do everything forever. I’ll be interested in how it goes this weekend.

Well, they could always go after Donovan McNabb, who is from Chicago- surely the Chicago media would give him none of the scurtiny he gets in Philadelphia
