Dewey Cheatem Undhow, are you a punk ass racist?

EasyPhil, you do know that in the African-American community, “punk” is a derogatory term for homosexual males? Are you attempting to be insulting to the many, many, gay men who post to this board, including the one who started the thread that led to this one? Under normal circumstances I wouldn’t bother with this, but if you’re going to be all quick on the trigger to read racial insult into the word “boy” then I’m going to expect that you refrain from using language that’s more insulting when addressing it.

Wasn’t there a thread recently that claimed that, or asked if, the word punk was slang for gay in the black community? Not that DCU is gay or isn’t (I have no idea) but is that what EasyPhil meant when he used the word?

Not only is your rant lame you are hypocritical too I guess.

Frankly, EasyPhil’s use of the word “circumstances” is quite offensive and rude to me.

I mean, with “cum” right there in the middle and all - whats a lady to do?

Lets just not talk, that way no one gets offended.

Must… resist… urge …to …answer…quesiton.

Assclown.

I think the so called controversial statements were taken out of the post to serve an agenda, because in the context of the post, there isn’t any racism implied or overtly stated, quite the opposite from my point of view.

Sound familiar, EasyPhil? Like something you might say?

Can we have a cite for that?

Do you know what a racist is? Obviously not, since the word doesn’t apply to me. Oh, almost forgot, fuck you Neurotic Jerk

Well, I guess that addresses all of the points raised. You’ve convinced me.

Mojo, nice try, you’re so clever, there’s a difference between branding someone a racist and asking the if they are.

Great! Now we can all go around giving everyone the Silent Treatment!

.
.
The board will go completely unused for three days, then the pent-up vitriol will overwhelm all the SDMB posters who will launch 13,000 simultaneous Pit attacks along with several thousand more MPSIMS pity whines, and the entire internet will halt, tripping over itself and curling up in the fetal position.
But you’d like that, wouldn’t you?

I don’t see him calling you a racist EasyPhil, but he’s claiming that you’re quick to call others racists.

I have no stance on that particular gig. on the OP, I didn’t see it as a racist comment, but a condescending one. and, ftr, I think the whole ‘make fun of the posters name’ gig is overrated. YMMV.

Personally, I don’t think it applies to Dewey either. Unless you have more examples of his “racism” I think you might have been attributing Dewey with racism that wasn’t there.

Well, now you know. Thanks for the clarification.

My comment was stupid? Does that mean that your user name is stupid? Just asking.

Shit, you’re right, I stand corrected on that.

I’m not familiar with that thread, but from where I come from, the word punk was not slang for a gay person in the black community. I don’t know if that has changed or not, but to my knowledge, historically it hasn’t represented that.

Did you just call him “honey chicken lovin’?”

EasyPhil, the more I think about this, the angrier I get and the more I think you owe me an apology.

Calling someone a racist in this day and age is a serious insult. Most folks, myself included, would rather be accused of a triple axe murder than of being a racist. It is, in short, one of the most vile labels you can attach to another human being.

And you choose to bandy it about on the skimpiest of evidence, without even a polite request for clarification. (And spare me the “I said you may be a racist” defense; it’s bullshit and you know it).

I am not a punk ass racist. You, however, are a punk ass fucknugget, and will remain so unless you retract your disgusting comment.

:stuck_out_tongue:

Don’t count on me to remember. The fact that you are black is of microscopic importance to me.**

Yes and no, respectively. Spelling out the phrase in my user name is dumb because it’s blazingly obvious in the first place. It isn’t like anyone reads my username and doesn’t “get it.”
