I think the Law of Economy of Characters means that Dr Vogel must be the Brain Surgeon. Or the show could go further afield and have it be one of the people in the police station, although they all seem too stupid to be plausible.
The ending was very - rapid.
Suddenly the kid dead, in Dex’s apartment, Vogel holding brain part, Dex dashing to see Hannah one more time, word from police that Hannah is in town, Debb perhaps returning to the force…zooming right along, they are.
Glad to see my dire prediction of the kid becoming the “new Dexter” didn’t come true - not sure I know what to make of Vogel - and although it might be nice to end the series with a shot of Dex and Hannah roaming the streets of Argentina, hand in hand, I don’t think that is going to happen either.
So, I am back to square one and have not a single iota of an idea how they intend to wrap this series up.
I hope this happens. It would be such a sweet ending.
I actually hope that Dexter gives Harrison up for adoption to a family that won’t neglect him all the time - or better still, that Jaime adopts him because she’s the only true hands-on “parent” that kid has.
The neighbors boyfriend is the brain surgeon. He saw Zach and Dexter together, yet didn’t recognize him when Quinn show him the picture. There is some thing suspicious about Vogel though since she avoided the question of how she got interested in her field.
It’s Rita’s three children. Bunch of ingrates.
How is there even a question of who it is? Vogel. Even if you ignore all the obvious stuff like no one else had time to abduct and perform the surgery and get the brain piece to her, they played the song from the hatch on Lost. That’s her song, she was listening to it when the fake brain guy kidnapped her.
It wouldn’t be the first time that the time-space continuum was bent to the breaking point on this show to let the protagonists accomplish astonishing feats of murder and corpse disposal.
Good catch on the song, though
I totally did not think that the piece of brain Vogel looked at was supposed to be from the kid; I assumed it was one of the pieces that had previously been sent to her.
Definitely the neighbor’s boyfriend IMO. He pretended not to recognize Zach b/c the minute he saw him with Dexter he decided to kill rather than frame him to further Dexter’s taunting.
Plus, it’s so obviously Vogel that it won’t be Vogel.
It’s Masuka’s daughter!
Watched last night’s ep this morning. Did anyone else notice a ghost-like frame just before the title screen?
Yes! I wondered why that wasn’t fixed…the credit actually jumped up a bit.
Regarding the episode - good progression, things moving along quickly - but then again, with only three episodes left until the series finale, they ain’t got much wiggle room left, so they had better start wrapping this up.
It’s a official. This season sucks. Making the boyfriend the murderer was dumb. Making him Vogel’s son was dumber and who didn’t know he was hiding in her house at the end?
I’m more confused by that dude supposedly being 45 years old (did I heard that right?)
I’m now starting to think Hannah will either die or get recaptured but Harrison and Dexter will end up leaving the country anyway to take the pressure off Deb.
Am I the only one who thought it would have been hilarious to have the actor who played Desmond from Lost do a cameo in the diner scene?
Well, only two episodes left.
So many ways this series could end at this point.
Too much to hope for a happy end for Dexter? Any chance of Hanna and Dex learning to tango in Argentina?
Any of the major characters going to die - other than tonight’s not-such-a-surprise demise?
I really have no idea whatsoever how this series is going to wrap up in the next two episodes - but I am ready for the ride…
Why didn’t Hannah cut and dye her hair before going back to Miami?
Did the nurse wait until after Hannah left to call the police and then only the US Marshal guy showed up?
Why the hell is Masuka’s daughter on the show?
OK so much made no sense last night. Why would Hannah take the chance of bringing Harrison to the ER for stitches? if he’d been having seizures or near drowned I could see it, but for a chin cut?? She at least had time to call Deb to get her to help out or try some other alternative. Instead she goes out in public looking exactly like she looks in her photos that everyone has seen. Stupid, stupid, stupid.
Good part: Vogel getting her throat slit. Gruesome and I screamed out loud. I hated her anyway. At this point I think I hate them all and I’m not rooting for anyone to live except Debb.
The Masuka’s daughter and Quin/Jamie relationship sub plot was so unecessary I wonder if when they wrote those episodes they had not planned on this being the last season. And whoever plays Jamie is not much of an actor.
I have no idea how this will end but I’m quite sure it wont be with Hannah and Dexter in Argentina. One of the two dies in my opinion.
I think this season started out slow but I am really enjoying it now. Good stuff.
Totally of topic, but Charlotte Rampling was a major babe when she was younger. Had it all and wasn’t reluctant to show it off.
Gotta agree that Hanna f’d up big time. Instead of using Deb’s name she should have used Rita’s.
