I simply thought it odd that you would go through the trouble of looking something up on the net, post it in quotes, but not post the source for us to see. It comes as no surprise that it’s a left wing O’Reilly bashing site, but I’m also not shocked that O’Reilly would say such a thing. I was simply curious to see the cite for myself.
As to O’Reilly being a pet issue for you, I can recall you mentioning him quite often. However, I do tend to get you and DtC mixed up, so I might be mistaken. You certainly came out of nowhere in this thread to insult him with no real reason or prompting.
As to Mr O himself, I like the guy. He’s hardly a right winger if you look at his views on issues. His honesty about where he falls on issues is refreshing and certainly preferable to the hardly hidden bias of most journalists on the networks. His overwhelming popularity speaks for itself. His interviews are great and he hits hard to both right and left wingers that come on the show. The few liberals who have embraced him are better off for it. (Al Sharpton is regularly on the show. I’ve seen George Clooney, Jeanene Garofalo, and other hollywood liberals do well on his show also.) I do beleive that Gore cost himself the election by not doing the show. He only needed a few votes in Florida and O’Reilly is very popular there. The one thing O’Reilly can’t stand is those who hide from him, and he really called Gore out on that one. Bush answered tough questions in his interview that election year, but it really helped him that he alone had the courage to do it.
Why bother, this will do. Besides, pitting lies from Rove is like picking out individual grains of sand on the beach.

You seem to be equating something being on the smoking gun and something actually being true. They are hardly the same. Smoking gun simply posts documents obtained via freedom of information act. Just because somebody hires a lawyer and files a lawsuit doesn’t make everything they say true.
