Hopefully this is a simple factual question that someone who knows more than me (or has better google-fu) can answer.
In an email chain between some much more animated relatives, the following claim came up:
Apparently from here:
Now Pam Geller is no big hero of mine, but it seems to me that if such a complaint -containing the incendiary language of the slavery claim- were actually filed, this would have been a bit of a bigger deal than it seems to be on the ole Intarwebs, and I ought to be able to find a reputable news source talking about it.
All references I can find point back to this single unsourced article. This is whole-cloth BS, right?
The FEC was involved in two court cases concerning the Obama-isn’t-a-citizen conspiracy theory: Berg v. Obama sought a Temprorary Restraining Order prohibiting Obama from running for President and enjoining the DNC from selecting Obama as the nominee. The Real Truth About Obama (RTAO) v. FEC sought to enjoin the FEC from enforcing certain financing and registration regulations for PAC’s. The nutcases lost both cases.
There is a possibility Geller was involved in one of the two latter actions, but nothing on record showing she was.
At this point, the blogger’s assertions about Geller are not reflected in any records I can find.
Yea, googling of the text of the complaint just gives a bunch of fringe blogs citing each other, no one cites the original complaint. Looks like BS to me.
