Did Chrome change the way it displays underlined text?

Today something seemed odd to me about the text in my Chrome browser. I never noticed before that when text is underlined, like the titles on SDMB threads, that the underline does not cross through the lower legs of any letters that extend below the baseline. I am thinking that the reason this looks odd to me is that maybe before it did cross through.

Here are letters that go below the baseline, using “a” as bookends:

Did something change?

yep

Thanks for that, I guess I’m late. Maybe the update just didn’t get applied to my machine until recently. Question answered!

When people use links in a row, it takes longer for me to see that it is just one link or multiple links. I now put a { }, or something + a space between any I do in a row. Or go vertical with each link on a separate line.
