That is possibly my all time favorite Talmudic teaching.

I haven’t read much Talmud just yet (I tried joining a Daf Yomi program, but right now they’re on the tractates about the minutiae of sacrificial offerings, which is an absolute slog), but the Oven of Akhnai story is probably my favorite that I’ve learned so far.

That’s also a classic. I occasionally look on on the Daf Yomi but not consistently. TIL that black pudding is arguably kosher, as if you cook the blood until it’s congealed the prohibition against eating blood may not apply. I do not intend to personally make use of this leniency in the foreseeable future.
