In comic amateur mime (à la Basil Fawlty), Adolf Hitler may be portrayed by placing a finger across the top lip, to indicate a moustache, raising one arm at an angle in salute, and goose-stepping about.
But did Hitler himself ever perform the goose-step march?
Presumably he would have when serving during the First World War.
Nothing definitive, but most probably. It was still a standard in the German Empire during WW I when he served. The only possible caveat is that he was only taken into service after the war started after initially being rejected. So it is remotely possible that he missed out on parade-ground drill. But highly unlikely - he was finally accepted in 1914 at the outbreak of hostilities. Parade-ground drill a la the goose-step would have been standard boot camp stuff.
