Did pigeons have foreskins for helmets?

Did carrier pigeons in any World War wear cured foreskins as helmets?

Sounds HIGHLY suspect to me… what the hell is wrong with leather?

 :dubious:

Unlikely. A foreskin detached from its host would be a tube, open on both ends. Not very helmet shaped.

Seems really unlikely. However I can virtually guarantee that very soon “foreskin pigeon helmet” will be added to somebody’s Strange Things People Google For list, and it may very well be suggested as a Band Name…
