Did TGI Friday's Pay The Entire Production Cost of "Zookeeper"?

Doesn’t matter to TGI Friday’s. More people will probably see the ad than the movie.

And forgive me, as I always ask this in these threads, but WHY would you (meaning anyone here who did so) willingly pay money to see something like this? Peer pressure? Kid pressure? You’ve already seen every good movie currently in theaters and have no access to good movies at home? Never miss a Kevin James vehicle? A desire to see a really bad movie? I don’t get it.

Well, I saw it because the kids wanted to see it and had asked if we could all go to the movies. Pretty much the standard reason that anyone ever sees a movie…someone wanted to see it. And the kids enjoyed it, so it was worth taking them. It was no more painful to see than many other kid movies I’ve seen. For instance, I enjoyed it a hell of a lot more than Cars or Cars 2.

‘Bad’ is in the eyes of the beholder. A movie you might find good I might hate, and vice versa. On this board I generally don’t come into Cafe Society because most of the posters on this board have different tastes in games, movies, books and art than I do, and generally the stuff I like is not well thought of here. I won’t say that I’d recommend this movie to anyone, and I won’t claim it was good, but it wasn’t the worst movie I’ve seen, and it had some cute (if predictable) parts to it. The gorilla scene was actually kind of touching in the context of the movie…even the part about going to TGIF’s.

my ire is drawn from watching schlubby kevin james having to agonize between rosario dossen and the blonde chick from talledega nights with the crux of the issue being he works at a zoo or not. there are good bits in it but as a whole, the product infuriates.
