This is obviously a question for World War II history buffs. I’m trying to learn if the Stug III had bow mounted or coax mounted machineguns. I’m specifically interested in the B and G models. And while we’re at it, was the commander’s machine gun mounted on a 360 traverse?
How’s that for an obscure set of questions?
The B model had no MG34. Later models had an MG34 carried inside the vehicle. The G model had a coaxial MG34 added in 1944.

Excellent!
Thanks for the responses. A followup question if I may: The techpubs site says in the armament table for the G model:
"One loose 7.92-mm MG 34 machine gun.
One remote controlled 7.92-mm MG 34 on later production models."
What do they mean by “loose” ? Did the crew just have an MG34 stored in the crew compartment? Was the plan to just grab it and run if they needed to abandon the Stug?
Was the remote controlled MG operated by the commander? Did it have a full 360 degree traverse?
Loose means exactly what you think it means. If infantry threatened the vehicle they would pop a hatch , stick the gun out and start shooting.
