Diet question...

I can’t even believe I’m asking this…
(typed furtively)
But, all right, if I could find the objective answer anywhere, it would be here.

Does anyone know if the cactus-derived substance hoodia actually works, or has anything like the effect that is claimed? Has anyone tried it? If so, what were the results? (Not a mixture, not the TrimSpa version; just the actual extract itself. They say that you have to take 3-4 grams a day to have any effect, so please, answers only from those who have tried it and met those two criteria.) It sounds so enticing, but there have been so many weird things that supposedly caused people to lose weight… anyway, it can’t hurt to ask…

[thread=360481]Simul-thread![/thread]

Stop being lazy and lose weight the guaranteed weight.

  1. Exercise one hour a day, every day
  2. Do resistance training (i.e. weights) 2-3 times a week
  3. Reduce your calorie consumption by 10-20% (the general rule of thumb is 500 calories of day no more no less, but of course it depends on how fat you are)
  4. Stick to it, 'till you lose the desired amount of fat

Not everybody is lazy, asshole. Some people do have physical concerns that prevent them from either exercising [such as a partial handicap] or cant safely cut their diet any further [nutritionist mandated regimine for diabetics] and endocrinal issues [such as a bum thyroid]

No matter what physical problems you have or don’t have, no matter what your diet is or isn’t, no pill on the market today will cause you to safely lose weight. Period.

If a mod wants to close this thread, that would be good… I went to the duplicate thread; for some reason there were no results when I searched earlier for hoodia threads. If people want to be sarcastic, a thread where someone is seriously searching for information is not a useful or necessary place to do it.
