I’m not doing great. I haven’t been on the bike in weeks, and I haven’t been paying much attention to what I eat.
I’ve been rediculously busy with school and volunteer work I’d been doing for the past couple of weeks which is over (for a little while, anyway) now. Hopefully I’ll get back on track.
I had planned to weigh myself on Thursday but I’ve been too busy… I’ll try to do it tomorrow morning.
I’m still out here in tubby dreamland, and I’m doing OK. I had trouble getting re-registered, so it took me a while to post.
I’ve now lost 20lbs since Jan. 11th. Not as fast as I’d like but it’s still a steady 2 lbs a week.
Scout1222 I appreciate your efforts in starting the thread each week. It’s good support, so I hope there are enough of us left to make it worth continuing.
I don’t know if it’s needed, and I probly will only poke my head in once every couple of weeks: I’m more working on fitness than weight loss, so the numbers aren’t changing really fast.
But I like having this support group to occasionally check back in with. My vote is to keep it.
I’d like to keep it. I’ve been up and down. Haven’t quite kept to my goal of 1 lb a week. Kinda stalled after the first 5 lbs and have been gaining and losing the same 5 lbs since January.
I’m trying the Low–carb thing at the moment. There’s a very cool discussion board for anyone who might be doing Atkins or Protien Power way of eating. Check out www.thinner.com
Thanks a bunch Scout for being the head of this little project. I hope you can keep it going for a while.
Purrplebear checking in. I vote to keep it. I need all the help and support I can get some days. I, too, have been incredibly busy for several weeks now, last week in particular. Between all the doctor visits, trying to walk at least every other day, and all of the children stuff going on, I haven’t had much time for hopping on here, or on the temp board.
I try to go to the mall with a friend and walk on Mon, Wed, and Fri. At first we were doing 2 miles, slowly. Now we often do 3 miles, and in just over 30 minutes. I try to watch what I eat, but I have given in to some chocolate cravings now and then. Still eating most suppers at my MIL’s too, though I’m hoping that will be changing in the next month. She wouldn’t know how to fix a healthy meal if her life depended on it.
Anyway, I vote to keep it, and a huge thank you to Scout for doing this.
My Friday weigh-in was not too bad. My weight stayed the same. I had old friends visiting from out of town. Monday, it was Mexican food and Wed. it was Italian. So considering that I gorged like a glutton and drank like a sot, I was actually surprised I didn’t gain.
Velvetjones, thanks for the site cite.
Even though the weight loss is going ok for me, I could be doing much better. I really wish I could get motivated to exercise, or actually to do anything. By the time I get home from work, all I want to do is veg out. I can’t even do the yard work that needs to be done. I’ve got projects that have been stalled for months, and I just don’t have the energy/motivation to work on them. Being on a diet just makes it harder.
I think we got a little off track when the board went down. I certainly missed this thread and would like to keep it going. I’ve lost 7 pounds so far. My sister told me my butt looked smaller! Plus I’ve been doing aerobics videos 3 times a week. Although I’m still doing the waking-up-in-the-middle-of-the-nigh-and-eating Cheeze-Its thing. Got to rid the house of “red light” food.
