Differences in religious belief

Hopefully we can keep this in GQ territory.

Both Buddhism and Hinduism center around (or involve) the concept of Nirvana, right? I was wondering what the differences in their interpretations of Nirvana actually were. For example do buddhists believe X about Nirvana whilst Hindu’s believe Y about it? Just a few will do. Thanks

Buddhism and Hindu can seem pretty similar at first. religioustolerance.org is a very good place to read about this sort of thing, and I highly recommend you visit there.
