I agreed to help my buddy get an answer to his question since he won’t shut up about it. He says he just went to a store that had light blue walls and colors instead of dark blue. Is this possibly an older scheme and being an older store, they just haven’t repainted? Some other reason? Or maybe no reason at all?
Perhaps he is just a bit insane?
I work for Walmart as a Customer Service Manager (AKA cashier wrangler); Walmart likes to try out different paint schemes in different stores, and when they remodel stores, they often change color schemes. The store I work at remodeled this year, and went from light tanish-yellow interior to a brighter yellow on the walls in the grocery area, and for the General Merchandise area light blue/gray on the top part of the walls, with a dark blue base running around the bottom. Talking with the crew Walmart send in the do the remodel, they don’t really see a pattern in the changes Bentonville tells them to make.
The Walmart I work at is a bit odd in that it has a brick red concrete floor inside, rather than tile. I had an amusing time during the remodel convincing a few of the cashiers that the remodel crew was going dye the floors blue to match the walls, when they were setting up stuff to polish the floors.
