Dilbert's tube clothing.

Why is it that Dilbert can wear his tube to the office, but is not allowed to wear his traditional bent-tie uniform? That’s one messed up dress code!

That’s one messed up office. I’d give a cite, but you could just read the entirety of that strip.

I don’t know when it happened, but the office has relaxed its dress code. Notice that the PHB is not wearing a suit anymore. Maybe Adams got off his ass and actually went to a tech office - none of which have been requiring a ties for ages.

But the tube clothing is just stupid. Unbelievable, but I can give him that if it was funny. It isn’t.

I guess Dilbert must now have a stand-up desk; sitting down looks difficult.

It has been some time since I’ve read Dibert so let me have a look…

Oh, the tube covers his whole body. Well, that’s bigger then I was expecting. Alright then.

I guess he’s trying to keep up with the times, or get slightly ahead of them. It’s no unitard. I’ll miss the tie.

Catbert announced the new dress code: “Business Dorky” , last October, we first saw it the 13th. Took a couple of weeks for the Sunday strips to catch up.

Scott Adams used to work for Pacific Telephone and Telegraph (original name).
I did a contract there - the first thing mentioned after I was shown my cubicle was:
“Scott Adams works in (floor and section number)”. They were actually proud of being the model for Dilbert.
Yes, it was a massively screwed up shop. One example: A meeting with 36 people (yes, attendance was taken) being read a status report. On a project that should have taken 3 months, but would take them close to a year.

Scott Adams finally had enough money coming in from Dilbert that he quit.

That was when Dilbert tanked.
