Dilemma About Car I Bought

4 weeks ago I bought a Nissan Micra for 700 UK pounds.

Within a week of getting it home the neck where you put the petrol in started leaking. Cost to replace £150.00 (inclusive of labour), then the engine starts stalling. Took it to the garage and spent £100.00 to get it repaired. APparently number one jet is being pumped with oil The car is constantly burning far too much oil. The new spark plugs were all covered in oil also. The garage told me to get rid of it.

Apparently he advised me that the fuel neck must have been leaking for months and the person whom sold me the car must have known this and also that that something was up with the engine.

My dilemma what do I do it still has three months tax on it and three months mot. Do i sell it onto someone as they did me or what??

If you think so can you please help me write an advert. My conscious tells me sell it and another bit of me states dont.

HELP PLEASE.

Sounds like you want to be honest, and are prepared to cut your losses. This means that you don’t need to A)sell it to some other poor bugger for seven hundred quid, or B)dump it over a cliff. Just place an honest advert saying:

FOR SALE - Nissan Micra. Needs work. PRICE: [whatever your conscience lets you charge -something considerably less than 700 pounds, and considerably more than 20p]
