Dimethyl Phosphate

My fater recenlty was diagnosed witha toxic neuropathy and the doctor told him it may be due to dimethyl phosphate. Any info on where one encounters this chemical, what symptoms it may cause?

I believe its common in pesticides. Most exposure info on it is taken from agricultural workers. I think there was an article in the New England Journal of Medicine on it a while back. If you google toxic neuropathies, you’ll probably find more info. I found this one which has some basic info. OSHA’s website might have more specific info about where the exposures are likely to come from too.

Sorry I can’t be of more assistance.

This is the MSDS for dimethyl phosphate from Fisher Scientific. It’s not very complete, but it does have some info on the compound itself.
