No I’m not gonna put a toilet out here.
I ordered a wind chime. It was cheap. I’m thinking $5, no more.
I specifically ordered it because I don’t want a pipe organ sound, or giant bell sounds.
It’s cheesy stainless pipe strung together into a wooden bead then a disc. With a convenient ring for ease of hanging. From the jingling coming out of the PKG I believe I can tolerate it.
Only I never hear it.
Is it strung too tight? We do have moderate breezes today.
Barely any swing or movement. No pleasant tinkling. Nada. Zilch.
Ok…here’s the thing. I think I can tune it to Do Re Mi. I know the prevailing direction of the breezes. I believe if I could get it to swing right I could do it.
I just know I can.
Say I can.
Please. I want this.
Madame P. has the front of the porch strung with wind chimes of various sizes and tones. She assures me you can get yours to play any simple tune, if you have the patience and if the breezes are constant enough for you to tune it.
Keep on keepin’ on, Beck!
Yay! I’m working on it.
(Patience is my middle name…not really)
@Prof.Pepperwinkle tell Mrs. P I appreciate her input.
We’ve had wind chimes in our breezeway for decades, and they make a pleasant accompaniment when I go out to walk the dog. Imagine my delight a couple of years ago when the random tinkling of the chimes recreated both the tones and the cadence of Strawberry Letter 23.. Never before heard, never since recreated.
I knew there was a way.
But, first I think I need an upgrade chime. I just can’t make this thing do anything.
A tornado vortex is the only way to move them or my son comes by and whacks them.
Eh, same difference.
Son-of-a-wrek=Tornado. Correalates!
I believe that is Madame P.
This sounds pretty cool, tunable wind chimes.
I shall ask the opinion of Madame Plant. I’d like to go for “All Along the Watchtower”.
Yes, do ask her her.
I’m thinking *‘Inna gotta davida’ might work.
*Pretty sure I misspelt that.
Inna godda da vida, perhaps.
I got my chime with a legit “do re…” then sharp sharp sharp! So jarring.
Gotta fix that.
