Dinner Party Menu

I am having a dinner party this month. I sent the invitations out and if everyone comes it will be 14 adults and Loren. I am thinking about the main dish being something with boneless skinless chicken breasts. Does anyone have any suggestions?

Also, what kind of glasses do I server water in? I have svalka (from Ikea) white wine and redwine glasses but no stemware for water.

I’d suggest Chicken Diane - impressive but not hard to prepare.

And I’m not sure about the water. I’ve always used a large footed glass that doesn’t clash with the stemware pattern.

My stemware is plain, clear glass. I wanted something I could add to easily. I hate matching patterns.

One of the guests hates parmesan with a passion. Hmm. I am also thinking about chicken breasts stuffed with gingerbread cranberrry dressing, but that might not be received very well either. I could have both. hmmm.

I got some crab legs to use for crab stuffed mushrooms, crab puffs, or crab dip, or some other crab based appetiser. Anny suggestions? Do you think the stuffing for these would keep in the fridge over night? I don’t want to be picking crab that day. I also want to make a relish tray. I read that keeping the fresh chopped vegetable in icewater over night will keep them.

I was also thinking of a homemade cream of vegetable soup, making the vegetables up in the chicken broth before and that day heating up and add the cream and then thickening it.
