I have a friend who is a Yankee fan (imagine that!) and he is curious to know if anone has this package. Is it worth it? How often are games blacked out? Would you recommend getting it?
I got it the two previous years to watch the Cardinals because I don’t live in St. Louis.
You get a max of 35 out of market games a week - not that many. Some weeks that means that your team only shows up once, as there are about 13x7 games per week, and Wed. and Sat. are blacked out to comply with contracts with ESPN and Fox. You’re blacked out for home games if you live in the area. So I don’t get the Dodger-Cardinal games when they’re in L.A., because I live too close.
Be sure to watch WGN, ESPN and Fox for others. I’m assuming here that WGN carries the ChiSox games.
So I guess is depends on how much you want it. I remember figuring out that it was costing about $2-$3 per Cardinals game broadcast. You can do your own calculations.
Last week on basic cable and network TV I watched 13 games (much to the dislike of Mrs. robgruver). So it really depends on what you are looking for.
