Dirt 9/01 (spoilers)

Is the guy playing Lucy’s boss the same one who played President Bush on That’s My Bush?

Yup!

This one wasn’t as much fun as the first one, although all the reviews said it improves as it progresses. It seems to me that an awful lot of the budget must go into the sets and the CGI. A little more gimmicky than I would’ve hoped for.

How did you see an episode that aired September 1st? Are you magic?

Well, it obviously aired in 2001 according to the title.

Kidding! :stuck_out_tongue:

It aired on 9/1/07, which is January 9th!

:dubious:

Personally, I don’t need to spend any part of my day thinking about the difficulty that Courtney Cox may have acheiving fictional orgasm.

This episode felt very placeholder to me, which considering it’s the second episode is not a good sign. I don’t care about Lucy, I don’t care about Dan and his hallucinations, I don’t care about the girl starlet or the basketball player and I only care about the boy starlet to the extent that I want to see him become ever more famous for ever more outlandish reasons as noted in last week’s thread. Bartender/musician guy has a decent body and a nice ass but I don’t care about him either. This gets another week, maybe two, to engage me before it gets removed from my lineup.

I really like what I’ve seen of this show so far. I wouldn’t go so far as to call it brilliant, but I definitely think there are some very clever and interesting things going on. I really like the photographer, and I like the way his relationship with Courtney Cox is played out. It’s a relationship unlike any others I’ve seen on television. She seems to genuinely care about him and respect him without pitying him or talking to him like he’s the creepy crazy man. I like that aspect of the show. I also really like the way his illness is portrayed onscreen (in the first episode) with the word bubbles coming out of people’s mouths and the constant drone of voices in his head. Did anyone else catch the women on the hair dye boxes coming to life while he was waiting to fill his prescription?
I’ll keep watching.
