I live in the SF Bay Area and because of a disagreement between Dish Network and KRON (Channel 4), the SF NBC affiliate, they can’t broadcast NBC into my area. Although it’s kind of inconvient for me, I happen to live in a place where there is a strong signal and a rabbit ears works fine for pulling in KRON. Now the question. On the back of the receiver there is a female connector for attaching an antenna or cable tv wire directly to the receiver. In the manual it says to either use the TV/Video button on my remote OR just turn off the receiver to allow the TV to use the antenna. I tried it and I can’t get any signal into my TV… nada… zip. What am I doing wrong? How is this suppose to work?
Most TV’s have a “Cable/Broadcast” setting in the menus, have you tried setting this to “Broadcast”?
Generally, most televisions today do not have any internal a ntenna. You will have to go and buy one, hook it to the antenna portion of either the dish box or the vcr, and change between the dish and the antenna reception.
I have dish and my waiver only got me LA and Chicago Fox affiliates and a CBS affiliate.
