Does Dishonored for PC allow you to save at any time or are you stuck with saves only after you reach save points. I hate games with save points, so this is a big point in deciding if I would want to ever buy it.

I hate save points as well. You can save at any time during Dishonored by hitting the F5 button. Yay!

A note for anyone curious about manual saves. Auto saves after your manual save will overwrite the last manual saves. You will often lose your last manual save. Do extra manual saves in a row if it’s important. This is a really sucky bug.
Why am I pissed? I had all my manual saves for my no kills play through of a couple hours replaced by two auto saves that were after a death. I have to start a new game to do a no kills game.:mad:
I’ve never had that happen. All my manual saves and latest quicksave are always there.
Now F5 is only the quicksave; you only have one of those. To make a full manual save you need to hit escape to bring up the menu and select “Save”. Have you just been making quicksaves?
I’m making manual saves. After having this happen I looked for this problem, and others are having it. It’s an insidious bug as your saves are there, when you look. All of a sudden a couple auto saves happen and you can have lost a lot of progress. The auto saves are writing over your manual saves.
I was about to post that I haven’t seen this problem, but now that I think about it, I recall once or twice noticing that there seemed to be less manual saves than I had remembered. If my older saves had been overwritten by autosaves, that would explain it. My latest manual save was always there, so it hasn’t affected me.
