Last week, I loaded the dishwasher. Unbeknownst to me, one of the plates had liquid dish soap on it. Needless to say, I loaded the dishwasher and started it up. Bubbles galore. Now I bailed water and bubbles for hours, and I was almost 100% sure that I had gotten it all, but I must not have.
I ran the dishwasher again. Same dishes that were in there when this originally happened and now I have bubbles AGAIN. Any one have any remedies that they might suggest that I use to get rid of the bubbles???
A while back I also used dishwashing soap in the dishwasher. Same results. Suds all over the floor. I used my wet/dry shop vac to vacuum the suds from the floor and also from the dishwasher. Started up the machine again and had more suds. Used the vac again to vacuum out dishwasher and had no more trouble.
I think oil of any sort would be challenging to remove entirely. The instruction book for my Kenmore calls for a cup of vinegar and then run a time saver (48 min) cycle.
Another method that works well: get a new Brillo or SOS pad,
soak and squeeze in a pan or small bucket of water, add the “juice” to the dishwasher. Kills all the foam.
