Ditka, it's apparently not okay when a democrat does it. Take that shit and stuff it.

OK, that makes sense, and is quite different from what you posted first. I was particularly objecting to the emphasis added part, which when applied to posters here is not really what this MB is about, IMO. Thanks for the clarification.

See above. No, we don’t need to seek out Trump supporters. That’s not what Lefty was saying, nor what I was suggesting should be done. If I was unclear about that, my apologies.

Grampa? What’s a “stopped clock”? Is that, like, an app?

It is kinda like when the VCR is blinking 12:00.

Siri says its all Obama’s fault, but Cortana blames the Jews.

iswydt.

Do you have cites for that? Because, in my memory, he “won” the presidency the way Doc Holliday “won” poker games. And this “confession” thing, all I ever recall hearing was bragging.

He said that avoiding STDs in the '60s and 70s were his personal Vietnam. He claimed to have slept with numerous women(married ones, too), he was known to have committed adultery. He said that being the owner of a beauty pageant gave him the right to enter dressing rooms, with underage contestants, any time he wanted.
His “bragging” has the ring of truth to it. We should take him at his word.
And throw his orange ass out.

When the what? is blinking?

VCR, man. You know. They were, uh, it stood for, uh, Variable Chronosynclastic Refundibulator. Everyone had one. Which is probably why our time-line is so fucked up.

:dubious:

I wonder how those psychological experiments where they observe the affect on behavior from being restricted to rooms without clocks would have turned out if people were restricted to rooms with blinking “12:00” VCRs that couldn’t be fixed.

I’d predict violent psychosis by the end of the week.

They can play the SJW card, but it’s a rather weak card when we can point out that this makes them SJWs, too, since they also advocated he be removed. And that there were so many in their party advocating other people be removed.

Having him stick around, however, is a very strong card. It can be used any time without any rebuttal. The only rebuttal requires nuance, and nuance is moot in these rhetorical games.

The only downside I can see to him resigning is if Republicans actually do the thing everyone is worried about and start throwing out accusations left and right to try and shut down all Democrats. However, that plan would backfire immensely because both sides can play that game.

So I say go for it. Have him resign. If you want nuance, have it be a delayed resignation, saying he won’t seek a new term. Have him go to rehab or something, with the hope he may be able to come back later if the climate changes.

It’s like the people saying that Clinton should absolutely be kicked out of the party. It doesn’t matter the nuance. We saw that in this past election. If the politician is tainted, cut them loose, or they drag everyone down.

I know we naturally tend towards empathy as liberals, but politics is cut-throat. Cut your losses and move on.

The righteous believe that all are sinners, the sinners know it for a certainty.
