Diver finds 95-year-old message in a bottle, finds descendant of person who wrote it

This was a cool story I read yesterday:

Non-paywalled story:

Short version:
The owner of a Michigan shipwreck boat touring company was washing her boat and came upon a small brown-glass bottle with a message in it. She opens it and inside the message reads:

"Will the person who finds this bottle return this paper to George Morrow Cheboygan, Michigan and tell where it was found? November 1926"

She posts it on Facebook expecting just a few likes, but it goes viral and before long random internet sleuths are going to work to find this person or a surviving relative.

Someone does find the man’s daughter who is delighted to hear about it, and ultimately decides to let the boat captain keep the letter to display and share with the public, rather than keeping it herself.

Well, they say that what goes around comes around. And, as great as that sounds, I’ve never understood what the hell it’s supposed to mean.

Actually, this is just another example of how I’ve been short-changed in life:

(whining): “How come I never get to find a 95-year-old message in a bottle?

Just kidding, and thanks for sharing!
