I am interested in replacing a broken down front step made of bricks. I was thinking there must be a way to do this with interlocking blocks that would be DIY friendly. I found this guide, which makes it sound doable. It’s not a huge step, maybe 6x8 on the top, four steps.
Anybody ever build with these before? Is this something I could do, or should I call a contractor?
Sounds like it will work. But front steps usually get a lot of traffic so make sure use plenty of that glue. You could use any kind of block or brick using real mortar and it would be about the same amount of work. The unseen interior would just be filled with rough rock, concrete and excess mortar, something you can do with the interlocking blocks also. But if your not comfortable with mortaring or mixing concrete then glue and block should do the job.
