Djokovic's Medical Exemption

“I’m not a professional geographer. I’m a professional asshole.”

Chinks in the armor!

So what do these News readers think? Now we know - caught in a hot mic moment.

There’s also some stuff going on I didn’t 100% follow, to do with the tests in Serbia that did and did not show he had Covid, on what dates.

Essentially a supposedly later test has a QR code with an earlier ID number on it. IOW the suspicion is he, his staff, and/or the Serbian authorities faked him having Covid at the exact date necessary to avoid the requirement to be vaxxed to get a visa.

All that said I think they should let him stay and play, as he’s no actual threat to Australia or Australians. It would be a good look if he donated any prize money to, say, the actual refugees still locked up in the hotel he spent a few days in.

Fuck him. Not only should he NOT play in the Australian Open, I wish all the Majors would get together and announce a 1 year suspension. He WAS and IS a danger to everyone he comes in contact with at this point.

I gotta continue to agree with me here.

I’ve got to agree with this. I mean, the only reason not to think he intentionally exposed children after testing positive for covid is that’s it’s likely that he instead lied about having covid and falsified covid test results in order to do whatever he wanted. I don’t think there should be any qualms about canceling his visa.

Indeed so. From now on, he should always be introduced as “notable anti-vaxxer and known liar Novak Djokovic”

What with Daddy Djokovic claiming the treatment in detaining his errant little boy was akin to crucifixion (what is it with Tennis Dads, anyway) and Serbian nationalists claiming they’ll wreck hell if their boy isn’t allowed to play, and will probably riot if he doesn’t win anyway. the faces of moderation in the Djokovic camp might see trouble brewing all round.

Reports now that Novak Djokovic could face a fine or even prison in Serbia after his admission that he broke isolation while he had Covid last month, lawyers have said, as the Serbian prime minister warned his behaviour appeared to be “a clear breach” of the rules.

One wonders whether Djokovic, for expedience of the self absorbed, now faced with the clear threat of imprisonment on return to his homeland that maybe he’ll seek political asylum here?

Rebel without a clue. Have tennis racket, can fuck off.

Spain is now investigating whether he broke Spanish travel rules as well:

https://www.skynews.com.au/world-news/novak-djokovic-to-face-probe-by-spanish-authorities-into-unvaxxed-trips-to-the-european-country/news-story/0ddb14f8794d6a11973a85ba271ce4e5

The investigation comes after it was revealed early this week that Djokovic travelled to Spain without a vaccination certificate or exemption in December and early January.

News of the probe was reported on Thursday by popular radio station Cadena de Ondas Populares Españolas and other media outlets.

The radio station confirmed Spain’s Ministry of the Interior and Ministry of Foreign Affairs have ordered police and immigration authorities to investigate Djokovic’s travels.

It is believed Djokovic did not request any special permission or exemption from the Spanish Embassy in Belgrade or the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to enter the country.

The headline writer must be giddy over being able to use “Spanish Inquisition”

This is like watching a train wreck in slow motion.

I never expected that.

I’m hoping for a bunch of cops (bobbies, gendarmes, what do they call Australia law enforcement?) to walk onto a tennis court to take custody of him.

But then again who does?

The answer is…

Nobody expects that.

Djokovic has his visa cancelled again.

Immigration Minister Alex Hawke cancels Novak Djokovic’s visa

Presumably announced at 6PM on Friday so that he can’t get into a courthouse.

I just looked up section 133C(3) of the Migration Act, and it says:

Action by Minister – natural justice does not apply.

(3) The Minister may cancel a visa held by a person if:

(a) the Minister is satisfied that a ground for cancelling the visa under section 116 exists; and

(b) the Minister is satisfied that it would be in the public interest to cancel the visa.

Section 116

https://www.gotocourt.com.au/visa-cancellations/

Visa cancellations are governed by Section 116 of the Migration Act, which gives the Minister and his delegates the power to cancel a visa in the following circumstances:

i. Breach of visa conditions;
ii. Failure to comply to visa conditions;
iii. Purposely providing incorrect or bogus information; or
iv. For the health, safety and good order of a segment of the Australian community.

When a visa is canceled under Section 116, the visa holder generally has the right to internally request the Minister of Home Affairs to revoke the cancellation of the visa (Migration Act, Section 501). This in effect provides the visa holder with procedural fairness and the opportunity to be heard as to why the visa should not be canceled.

So he can apply to the Minister of Home Affairs to cancel the cancellation… but I seriously doubt that will get him anywhere.

He can kick and scream… but he’s out.

Thank Og… Finally someone standing up to these asshats
