Mrs. Napier is a very serious amateur genealogist and she’d like a DNA test to probe her origins further. As she understands it, her ancestors are mostly from what’s now the UK and western Europe, though she has a Native American branch, Lenape, several generations back. Specifically paternal testing through the Y chromosome is probably not an option as she, of course, hasn’t got one, and all the reasonably close male relatives who would share ancestry with her father are deceased.
I’m thinking a price range up to a few hundred dollars is plausible, and if there are two or three different tests to combine, that’d be an option too.
What say the Dopers?
Thanks!!
