Do All Women Like Photo Booths?

Granted that the practical need for USA folks to have passports is much less. I was just pointing out for @Treppenwitz’s cultural awareness that passports here aren’t the near-universal not-quite-mandatory identity document he might be used to at home.

Just like historically Californians had a hard time believing any adult American didn’t have a driver’s license, whereas plenty of lifetime NYC dwellers knew few people who did have one. It’s all too easy for any of us to assume other places are just like home until somebody points out some ways they’re not. At which point the difference is obvious and uncontroversial once pointed out. Nowadays with the USA’s teens & 20-somethings much less interested in driving in supposedly almost every city / burb, that particular cultural gap may be closing.

The percentage of US passport holders is steadily increasing. See here for a time series through 2017, now 6(!) years ago. The increase is from an astonishingly low base.

There used to be more places where US citizens could travel to without a passport - even today, you can go to Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean without a passport on certain cruises and you can drive into Canada and Mexico without a passport if you have an enhanced driver’s license. Up until about 2005 or so, you could fly to those places and I think also Central and South America without a passport. I’m pretty sure that change is the reason for a lot of the increase

I love this. Thanks for sharing.

I love this @Qadgop_the_Mercotan

I’ve never done a photo booth. It always seemed like a fun thing. I have, however, done a string of crazy faces and poses in front of a camera for friends who wanted to become fashion photographers. It was good to get some headshots for modeling.

Oh, this is great. It made my morning, thank you @Qadgop_the_Mercotan :slightly_smiling_face:

It made me laugh.

We ain’t dead yet! ;-D

and thanks

Good call.
