I had to tell someone that I just found out that Philip K. Dick used to live a few blocks from my house! I was on this site http://www.dcwriters.org/ and he lived the closest to me. I also am a couple of blocks from the graves of Henry Adams and Upton Sinclair so it is only a matter of time before I start cranking out the hits. Not really that big a deal, but if I tell my wife she’ll ask me who Philip K. Dick is.
I’ve never seen something like that for New Orleans, but I know that the writer Seth Morgan (author of “Homeboy” and ex-fiance of Janice Joplin) used to live a block from me.
