Hey, i was just wondering if any of you all had some cool or unique jobs? Like are there any famous people in here? Any actors or music performers? Anybody work high up in the government here? Like for the president or Congress…or whatever your country has?
I work in customer service for my local government. Listening to people scream at me all day isn’t exactly cool, but it has it’s moments of levity. Not a job I’ll be leaving anytime soon.
I’m also the mother of two beautiful kids. While they sometimes make me want to curl up in a corner and beat my head into the wall, I’m not trading this job for anything, ever.
I’m married to a guitar player. Not famous, but he should be. And after being with him for as long as I have, I can say with certainty that being a musician has it’s cool points, but mostly it’s a job like any other.
Hm. I seem to recall your People Pages picture being a bit different-looking than the Lamont Sanford I remember. Maybe it’s because Lamont’s head was attatched to his shoulders?
Darn, I suppose working six hour days at a Graphic/Typographic design firm as Net Admin and doing nothing really but posting all day and playing video games is not cool enough… oh well…
How about the fact that I work with some pretty famous rock bands doing graphic design/web design work and merchandising?
I am a copy editor, which may be the very definition of an uncool job, because, among other things, nobody who isn’t one seems to have any idea what copy editors do. Not that explaining it helps. ("Well, I spend a lot of time changing “which” to “that.” But on a good day, I might get to change “that” to “which.”)
But I do work for a radio magazine, so maybe that puts me on the extreme fuzzy outer edges of the fringes of show biz.
As a physician, some people think I have an interesting job because I get to see lots of women naked. This has turned out to be not even a remotely interesting feature of my work, unlike the expectations I had as a callow youth.
I work at bus assembly plant, and when somebody leaves one of the big doors open, especially this time of year, it does get pretty cool in there, so I guess I have a cool job. Whammo are you really Demond Wilson?
I forgot to mention, I was also an interstate drug runner back in the early '90’s. That paid very well, plus I got to rent luxury cars on a regular basis.
Qadgop: My SO is also a doc. He says most of the nekkid women he sees are fairly elderly, and it’s not really very exciting.
