OK, I’m a bit confused. Everyone keep talking about Jesus, but have we established yet whether Badchad and Der Trihs have cetacean loved ones?
Damn you, I was going to have a whale of a time with that joke. You beat me to it.
Thanks for baileen me out of having to make that joke.
You should be beaten with it. Severely.
What, you want to whale on me with it?
Man, I am way off today.
Right. I was hoping this would be a Killer, but this thread makes me feel Blue and gives me a Humpback. I may have to go off and whack out some Sperm to cheer myself up.
Riiiiiiiiight. :dubious:
Ah, kwitcher blubberin’…
Was there a porpoise to that?
This raises so many questions in my mind.
I’m just wondering what “whom they’d rather die” is supposed to mean. That Badchad and Der Trihs would rather die than have their Grannies see what they wrote? That Badchad and Der Trihs would rather have their Grannies die than see what they wrote? Both seem to be rather unlikely.
Why does the OP suggest that having Christian Praying Grannies is a bad thing for anyone? I mean, since the OP is presumably not in favor what Badchad and Der Trihs are doing, how would having such a good thing as Christian Praying Grannies “serve them right?”
Why does the OP abbreviate Christian? Is this some g-d or Y*****h kind of thing?
I’m so confused.
Sorry for trying to be serious in what’s become a (good) joke thread, but I have to say:
Huh?
As an atheist, I can say that I’m not anti-religion. Just because I don’t have a faith in some deity, doesn’t mean I don’t recognize the good (and bad) religion brings to people. It’s simply that I don’t subscribe to any religion, period.
Obviously, YMMV.
Aren’t you a C. Tan?
Umm, yeah. Thank you for catching that. I need to back pedal. I have been running in on breaks at work to post and I had no business putting that phrase out there; in or out of context to the rest of the statements I meant to convey. Of course I am not anti-religion either; most of the people that I love are Christians or Buddhists and I respect them greatly.
I am whole-heartedly against any club that condemns or excludes, or that declares war in the name of a god or prophet.
But spirituality in any form that promotes peace and kindness either for a group or an individual is a beautiful thing.
Please let me re-state that: I am not anti-religion. That was a statement made in error and I would like to retract that. I apologize.
Thank you, Charlie Tan.
[Apu] Welcome to Kwiky Mart! Perhaps you are not knowing that Ganesha has four hands, with thumbs. Now get out of my store, and come again! [/Apu]
It’s the sound I make when I’m trying to extricate debris from between my teeth.
You and badchad deserve each other.
Der Trihs I’ll defend to my dying day for having excellent taste in fiction.
Maybe you’re doing it wrong?
That was a thing of beauty.
Far be it for me to put words into FriarTed’s mouth, but I think the gist of his P was meant to highlight the difference between here and real life, albeit with a horrible analogy. der trihs and badchad are assholes here, and FT was, by my reading, wondering aloud if they are assholes to their loved ones too.
Me, I’m confused as to why I actually took the time to respond in this thread, when both the OP nor the pittees are worthless.
Yeah, but the book also mentions things like “an eye for an eye” and the ever-popular smiting of enemies. At least Ted’s not trying to smite them, right?
