On your neighbor’s dogs?
They’re pretty expensive, and as advertised, they’ll always SAY they work… I’m wondering about the random Doper who has had experience. Any details would be gladly appreciated.
What sort of dog silencer are you talking about?
Isn’t it cruel to thread a dog’s muzzle? Does the SPCA require a tax stamp and background check?
This is the first one I saw, but I trust random people who know which brands are most effective.
We don’t even have Animal Control here, and 911 is worthless.
Everyone on my block just use dogs as cheap security. Even when its freezing cold outside. Raining. They’re animals, too, so of course their animals are nuts.
We used that specific device on our neighbor’s dogs. It did exactly what it said it would do, so be sure and read/understand the specifics before buying one.
Its not a long range device, so the dogs learned that they could still bark their heads off day and night in the other side of their yard, but seeing as how their master bedroom window was also on the other side of the yard it worked out well enough.
We also had a concrete block wall put in which helped deaden the sound. We can still hear them barking day and night, but its muffled by distance and wall so isn’t nearly as annoying.
