I know most guys, including me, will get a shiver after urinating. It seems involuntary and inevitable. But I’ve rarely heard of girls who get the “piss shivers.” Is this more common than my female friends might have me believe? What do you guys say?

I’ve asked this question to twenty-nine females that I know and the answer is no!
But women get piss shakes, that small curl of the toe (usually the smaller toes, but not always) when the piss ends fulfillingly.

I’m a guy, and I’ve never experienced this phenomenon. In fact, I’ve never even heard of it!
Not regularly, but on occassion I’ll get a shiver.

My wife get’s them before, if she has to go really bad.

Looks like my previous inquiries are confirmed…most, but not all, guys do get them. Most, but not all, girls do not. Weird.
I wonder if there are any old folk explanations. Like, everytime you get the shivers, someone is pissing on your headstone. Anyways, maybe there’s a senior thesis in this for someone, discovering the medical nature of shiver upon relief of the bladder.

I’m a girl, I get them quite often, usually at the beginning and sometimes during. Didn’t someone once ask Cecil about this? If I recall, he didn’t have anything useful to say about it.

I don’t think I’ve ever had a piss shiver, nor have I heard of it before now.
Well…there have been a couple of times when I really, really had to go, that, after relieving myself, I did have a bit of a small full-body convulsion. But on these occasions, I was being delivered from the extreme agony of Nature’s most urgent call, and a mild shiver didn’t seem all that inappropriate a response, nor mysterious.
As for the average squirt, nope, don’t get 'em.
