Do grocery stores now run a net outflow of cash?

There are many, many banks that charge you if you use another bank’s ATM and many, many banks that charge you to use their own ATM if you’re not an account holder.

So if I have an account at Bank A and want to use the ATM at Bank B, I could incur a charge from Bank A (for not using their ATM) and from Bank B (for using their ATM).

Nope, grocery stores still sell cash to the bank. At the end of everyday, Pick N Save in SE Wisconsin still sells about 20-40 thousand everyday.

The only place I’ve ever seen buy more currency than it brings are the banks around here, who more often than not, buy $2000 straps of 20’s from the grocery stores, when their supply’s run low.

?

I work in a grocery store in canada and credit cards are very common. People use them to collect points (for every 1000 pts on your PC financial mastercard you can redeem them for a $1) and to avoid ATM fees. Most cashiers hate them cause you have to print out the slip and get them to sign and check the signature but it’s far smarter in my opinion.

Sidenote: we (as a medium sized grocery store) do except cheques. For how long I’m not sure as the other grocery store in town which is owned by the same company as us (National) won’t anymore.

Yes. There are several in the Boston metro area, there are two in Colorado and there’s one in Atlanta. I live in Charlotte.

Don’t be a smartass.
