I hated high school with the fire of every sun ever put together, but I got a class ring because I survived (1985 graduate). We had a ring Mass where we got our rings. I never got one from college and the HS one was thrown out many years ago, along with the HS yearbooks.
When I hear Elvis’s Ring Around Your Neck I picture a ring around her neck, not a ring on a chain around her neck, and I’m creeped out.
