I’m staying in a hotel for 10 days and I was planning on just leaving a very nice tip the last day, but now I’m wondering if I’m rewarding the one person who may have cleaned my room that day and screwing everyone else.
Yes, I know it likely varies, but is there a common practice?
I tip every day. Even if they pool, the people who cleaned your room the first two days might not be there on the last day.
I suspect the don’t pool, because my experience interpreting for people training for hotel work suggests that tipping is not terribly common.
Human nature, being what it is, all but guarantees, they most certainly do NOT pool in the situation given by the OP.
