Do I call in sick, or go to work?

I am sick :frowning:

I wanna stay home.

I am the assistant to 2 guys. One is off for 2 weeks for his wedding starting tomorrow after work and the other’s wife is due to have their baby any day now, and will be taking a week off, no doubt overlapping the 1st guys holidays.

I want to make sure that I’m feeling okay next week.

Do I call in sick or suck it up?

ARGH!!

I rarely call in sick and always feel guilty when I do.

I even previewed and messed up the title!!!

Do I call in sick, or go to work? :smack:

Actually, I think you got it right the first time…

In other words – call in sick. Don’t play the hero! You’ll end up sicker and losing more days if you do, anyway…

Stay home! You’re not going to get much done except get worse if you go in. Also, if what you have is contagious, you’ll just add to others’ misery.

Now, crawl back into bed and feel better!

If you’re sick, stay home. You need to take care of yourself first off and if you are contagious this is one time that I’ll grant you a pass on sharing with others. Think about it this way, the guy whose wife is about to have a baby does not need to bring anything home with him right now.

Go back to bed. Drink plenty of juice. Make some chicken soup. Take meds. Get better.

You mean today? When the other guys are still there?? For god sake yes. For just the reason you mentioned; you’re going to need to be well to be there they days they aren’t. Here if this helps:

IT’S THE RESPONSIBLE THING TO DO.

How about some guilt to motivate you?

What if you go in sick, get dad-to-be sick, and he gets his brand new baby sick?!

Don’t do it. Think of the children.

Call in sick. Seriously.

Stay home. Don’t go in and spread your germs. The man with the pregnant wife won’t appreciate it if she also comes down with your sickness.

Not to mention the guy who’s getting married. Who wants to be sick on their honeymoon?

I hope you called in.

Call in sick. Nobody wants to work with a sick person, trust me. And get better soon hugs

Heh, thanks guys!

I called in sick and slept pretty much all day. I still feel like complete crap.

I have to say, not wanting to get dad-to-be sick was my main motivation for staying home.

Hopefully I feel a bit better tomorrow because I have to go in.
