Do I have to restrain myself?

You know, I have no idea how to make those.

Good golly, do you honestly believe this? You have been ripped a new one in this thread by a number of posters who are openly and unabashedly anti-Bush and you still think it’s about your politics? 'Lips, it has nothing, absolutely nothing to do with your neighbor being pro-Bush and you being anti-Bush. It has everything to do with hypocrisy. Re-read this thread. Think about it. Give some thought to the idea that your neighbor might be a great guy and given alot of thought to who to vote for, and agree to disagree.

Post anything controversial you want. Just don’t be so fucking stupid about it.

Let me spell this out for you: Your political views do not make you enlightened, and if you believe they do, you’re an asshole. It doesn’t matter what those views are, that still holds true.

I pretty much agree with you here. Although I wonder if there’s some correlation between gullibility and intelligence. There has to be a way to prove that the people supporting Bush are dumber then those who oppose him.

Well, I think militant feminists funny, in a cute sort of way…

Why?

Whoosh! That had so much top spin, it flipped my keyboard over.

Because stupid people aren’t really good at reading between the lines.

Put a Kerry-Edwards sign on your front lawn, bake your neighbor some cookies and stop being a twat.

Disclaimer: I’m a chick.

Ah. I see. Then I’ll get right on
[sub]that didn’t make any sense at all to me[/sub]
designing that study, then.

Most of the Bush folks seem to be of the “Nuke the fucking towelheads” ilk.

They’re incapable of of even acknowledging the possible benefits of alternate courses of action. If you even suggest that the Iraq invasion created more terrorists then eliminated, they look at you like you’re nuts. They can’t even answer a straight question, and don’t seem to have a grasp on current events.

This sort of stubborn ignorance strikes me as a person who may not be the sharpest knife in the drawer.

I suppose the toughest part would be defining intelligence. After that, we get a 1000 supporters from each side.

Or maybe…the Bush supporters that you have personally interacted with, or seen on TV, seem to be that way. Your blanket condemnation of all of us is a bit…arrogant, to say the least. I happen to think that Iraq was a mistake, and I am very up on current events, and I wouldn’t vote for Kerry if he was the only person running.

Guffaw. Guffaw, I say.

Me either.

But since he’s NOT the only person running, I figure I kinda got to vote for him. Just like, if Bush were running against David Duke, Bush would get my vote.

Daniel

Alright I’ll revise it to this.

Most of the Bush folks I’ve met seem to be of the “Nuke the fucking towelheads” ilk.

Now we are more in agreement, because, sadly, most of the ones I encounter daily are the same. :frowning:

I feel like inviting Brutus, Sam Stone and Shodan into this thread so they can see just how liberal the SDMB really is. It’s turned into a real rah-rah cheerleading thread for the anti-Bush OP, hasn’t it? Right? Right?

I already invited Bricker; I’ve got a feeling that Shodan would find some way to interpret this thread as yet more proof that liberals have got a groupthink going on.

Daniel

I can’t speak for any of those luminaries, but I’ll certainly say on my own behalf that I am surprised and very pleased with this thread’s progress. I would not have thunk it!
