Do I need to use a VPN?

The only time I ever use my phone for streaming, shopping, browsing, etc I use either my data plan or home WiFi. I never connect to public WiFi.

Should I be using a VPN anyway? If so tell me why, and which one? I have a hard time seeing the point in paying for a service I don’t see any value in for myself.

I don’t really know what a VPN is, but if you’re surfing the ‘net without one, it suggests to me that you DON’T need to use one.
