There’s a funeral home two doors up the street and, as I strolled past to get my weekly supply of the elixir known as Diet Coke, I saw that they had a piece of Briggs and Stratton machinery putting away on their front sidewalk. These people are the kind of people who break out the leafblower if one leaf falls, so I thought little of it and strolled on by.
It was only upon my return that I saw it was a power washer. And I saw, too, that the power washer’s hose was leading off into the dark recesses of the funeral home.
I bet they have it for washing their cars. It’s probably not feesable for them to run to the car wash every time they need something washed. Also, if they have a cement parking lot they can pressure wash it to remove oil or other car fluids that may leak on it.
My mom is obsessed with those things. Her eyes gleam when Dad hands it to her for the fence, and we always speak of the fence boards blowing away as she runs it along the fence.
Whoops, musta missed that part.
Here’s another thought then - Maybe they were running the hose down to the basement and pressure washing the floor that has a drain in the middle of it???
