I have a few large prints and posters I want to frame, but I’d rather not spend a fortune doing it. I found a local place that purports to teach you how to frame and give you the tools to do it, and for a fraction of the cost. Has anyone tried a service like that? How did your frames turn out?

I’ve made my own frames, but I just did it ( My husband bought me a power compound miter saw for my birthday) The frames themselves weren’t a problem. Cutting the matting was another story. If the do-it-yourself place has the professional tools for cutting mats and you are able to practice, it will probably work out.
I think it’s still relatively expensive if you use their precut frames.
